Leather Baby Shoes Bobux® baby shoes are the best thing next to bare feet for babies and toddlers. They are soft natural leather shoes which fit like a glove. The Bobux design is generous but flexible, and moulds around the feet allowing each foot to be protected by the Bobux shoes whilst it grows naturally and unrestricted. Features & Benefits Bobux® baby shoes feature a non-skid safety sole which is essential for tiled and polished floors, and they are available in a rich variety of colourful designs to suit any wardrobe - just look around this page! The original Bobux® baby shoes design incorporates an elastic ankle support system, making them easy to slip on and hard for a child to remove. There are no ties - these shoes are simply designed to stay on. A Brand upon which you can rely Bobux are the designers and manufacturers of the original soft soled leather baby shoe. Others have followed, but we do not believe that any other company has bettered the original product - and in our opinion, most other brands are significantly inferior in terms either of design or quality or both. From their beginnings in New Zealand, Bobux has grown to be a world leader in the design and manufacture of leather baby shoes Materials Bobux shoes are manufactured in New Zealand by Bobux® International Ltd, from soft, durable garment leather to an exacting standard involving stringent quality control. All dyes used in Bobux products are safe for shoe-eating toddlers and the stitching is secure. Bobux have developed their own Eco-leather™, which exceeds all international safety standards. We believe that Bobux is the only manufacturer to be able to make this claim. Red Dyes Due to the nature of the dyes used, reds may cause discolouration to socks and/or skin. This is unavoidable where the main criteria of the dye is that it is completely safe, harmless to the skin and non-toxic. It is adviseable, therefore, to avoid wearing very light coloured socks with red shoes - red or dark colours are best! When wet, the red dye is likely to run, however, whilst this may be inconvenient, please be assured that it is harmless. Bobux as a company is almost unique in the industry in their conformance to the most stringent safety standards in all parts of the world. Washing It is best to wipe the Bobux baby shoes clean with a dampened cloth or to use a proprietary leather cleaner (such as is usually available from cobblers, shoe shops and hardware stores). We have had customers report successful machine washing - using the mildest program and taking great care to avoid direct heat whilst drying - however it is important to note that the manufacturer does NOT recommend machine washing, and so we, as a retailer of the product, do not recommend this course of action either! No liability will be accepted for damage caused by putting these shoes in the washing machine or for allowing outdoor use of the product! The manufacturer also positively recommends indoor use only. The non-slip sole Suede leather will become smooth over a period of time, reducing the non-slip element of the sole. However, getting it back again is simple - just "rough up" the sole with a brush designed specifically for use on suede (it's like a mini wire brush). Questions?
